  1. Starting point of the experience Essaouira Beach

With Essaouira Beach attracting crowds and sunbathers, and Plage Tagharte the surfers, those who wander further afield can expect to find hardly a soul on the other wild and vast golden beaches. So whether your plan is to relax, surf, or explore, there’s a beach in Essaouira perfect for you.

  2. Visit and photo break Bordj El Baroud

Bourj El Baroud is a ruined watchtower located somewhat south of the mouth of Oued Ksob near Essaouira, Morocco. This structure is located on a broad sandy beach directly across from Phoenician ruins at the southeast tip of the main islet of Iles Purpuraires. This beach is likely the one referred to in Herodotus’ account of the Phoenicians’ trading with the indigenous peoples of this part of western Morocco. About one kilometre inland is the village of Diabat.

  3. Explore Diabat Beach Diabat Beach

The village of Diabat is four kilometers south of Essaouira. This village has a unique charm. It overlooks the estuary of Oued Ksob and borders a large beach that connects Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki.

  4. Explore Sand Dunes

A sand dune is a hill or ridge beyond the reach of the tides, formed from sand over many years. They are ever-changing structures. Dunes usually form in bands parallel to the beach, getting taller and more chaotic the further away you get.

  5. Explore and return Forest of Diabat

When people think of Morocco, they often picture golden deserts, bustling souks, and vibrant cities. But hidden within this diverse landscape are Morocco’s secret forests—lush, green retreats offering tranquility, adventure, and a unique glimpse into the country’s natural beauty.
